Description

A comforting and delicious sausage and egg casserole perfect for brunch.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound sausage
  • 6 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 cups shredded cheese
  • 2 cups bread cubes (optional)
  • 1 cup chopped vegetables
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the sausage in a skillet over medium heat until browned; drain excess fat.
  3. Whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and pepper in a large bowl.
  4. Layer the cooked sausage, optional bread cubes, and chopped vegetables in a greased baking dish.
  5. Pour the egg mixture over the layers and top with cheese.
  6. Bake for 30–35 minutes or until the eggs are set and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  7. Let it cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Prep the casserole the night before for a quick breakfast in the morning. Can be frozen for later use.
