- 300g pasta (fusilli or penne)
- 400g canned tomatoes (crushed or diced)
- 250g mozzarella cheese (cubed)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- Fresh basil leaves (to taste)
- Salt and pepper (to taste)
- Parmesan cheese (for serving)
Instructions
- Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
- Pour in the canned tomatoes, season with salt and pepper, and let it simmer for 5-10 minutes.
- Add the cooked pasta to the sauce, mixing well to combine.
- Stir in the cubed mozzarella and fresh basil leaves.
- Remove from heat and allow the cheese to melt slightly.
- Serve hot, topped with grated Parmesan cheese and additional basil if desired.
Notes
Substitute fresh tomatoes if preferred, but adjust seasoning accordingly. Leftovers can be frozen, but texture may be altered.
