Description

A nostalgic and comfort-filled grilled cheese sandwich with dill pickles for a sharp twist.


Ingredients

  • 2 slices of bread
  • 2 slices of cheese (cheddar or American)
  • 34 dill pickle slices
  • Butter (for spreading)
  • Optional: mustard or mayonnaise

Instructions

  1. Heat a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Butter one side of each slice of bread.
  3. Place one slice of bread, butter-side down, in the skillet.
  4. Layer with cheese and dill pickle slices.
  5. Top with the second slice of bread, butter-side up.
  6. Cook until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes, then flip and cook the other side until the cheese is melted.
  7. Remove from skillet, slice, and serve warm.

Notes

For a crispier result, press with a spatula. If you hear hissing, you’re doing it right!
